The Most Versatile Cake You’ll EVER Make. I Promise!

Ok, this is seriously the easiest dessert you will EVER make and the clean-up…even easier (especially if you’re super, duper smart and use a throw-away 13×9 inch pan 😉

And, what I think I like even more than that… the cost.
I bought the ingredients for something like $3 total (using coupons and sale prices) and, well, it’s just so rich and gooey and perfectly delicious that I bet, like me, you will make this over and over again for a midnight snack for yourself while hiding the delicious leftovers from the hubby & kids the family 😉

Miss Lise’s Cake

1 pkg Cake Mix
1/4 c. oil
2 eggs
1 1/4 c. water
1 pkg. instant pudding (4oz serving size)
1 12oz. pkg choco. chips
Spread oil in a 13×9 in. pan.
Pour in the rest of the ingredients and mix well with a fork.
Bake at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes.

*And, that is it folks! It is just THAT easy!


I have done SO many variations of this cake that the possibilities are almost endless. (the cake pictured is a yellow cake, banana pudding & chocolate chips)

Some of my favorite combos:
Devil’s food cake, chocolate pudding & chocolate chips (aka Death By Chocolate!)
Spice cake, butterscotch pudding & butterscotch chips
Carrot cake, butterscotch pudding & raisins
Yellow cake, vanilla pudding & white chocolate chips

PS Serving warm with a dollop of fresh whipped cream is FABULOUS.
