How right they were/are!
They had us all wrapped around their fingers from the day they arrived and not a single one of us has been able to let go since

It’s amazing to think that 5 years ago today I was desperately trying to hang on to my sanity as my pregnancy (and 6 months of bed rest) was coming so close to an end. I was counting down the days to delivery and the excitement/anticipation was beyond overwhelming as my dearest friends had all begun to give birth to their twins and myself and a few other unfortunate (or fortunate, depending how you looked at it) friends were the sole hanger-on-ers in our online multiples group.
The minutes felt like hours and the hours felt like days as that final week of my pregnancy drug on with extremely sleepless nights, a bladder that never seemed empty, a belly that couldn’t hold food down, constant contractions and heartburn from hell…
but it was worth it,
SO worth it,
when they finally did arrive and just days later came home with me,
just four pounds each, but heavy on the blessings and abundant on the love.

It’s been one blessed journey, from day one, and this upcoming week, we begin to countdown to a monumental birthday for my babies…
who go from being toddlers to officially becoming 5 year old kids!
