After 2 years of wearing braces, it was finally time for Alex to have them come off.
So, I took him out of school for the day, kept both Emma & Will home from school and the three of us made the trip down to NJ for the appointment (which is an awful trip to make when the appointment is at 10am and the drive takes 3 hours with minimal traffic & nice weather…which we didn’t have. ugh)
While Alex went to his appointment, I took Emma and Will shopping (aka Emma and I shopped and Will grabbed everything he liked from the shelves and promptly threw it to the floor or in the cart).
An hour later, Alex called to say he was done and wow, what a nice difference 🙂
He looks SO grown up all of a sudden 🙁
There was NO way we were going to drive to NJ, be SO close to family and not stop and visit, so we went over to my sister Erin’s house with lunch and my sister Missy came over as well so that we could all get free cuddles with my baby nephew, Ryder 🙂
Alex got to see and hold Ryder for the first time, which was actually quite funny because, as much preemie “baby-holding” Alex has under his belt, he was SO nervous holding his baby cousin like it was his first time 😉
Of course, seeing Alex with Ryder made Emma very jealous,
which of course meant Emma needed to hold him too.
And while all the happy, baby-holding was going on, where was Will???
He was happily playing in Ryder’s crib with his stuffed animals, of course 🙂
