one of the many reasons i love small towns…

parades for everything!

Last week, our town (aka my parent’s town) had a parade of firetrucks to welcome the holiday season, light the town and bring Santa out to see the children.
The parade was just two blocks from my parent’s home so my mom, my sister Missy and I walked over with our youngest kids and waited…

While it was very quiet on the street at first, the kid’s excitement was building as the curbs began to fill up with families, a local band began to play and the sound of fire sirens in the air came closer and closer.

Finally, 30 minutes after we took our place on Main Street, the trucks arrived.

and it was LOUD!

and the kids were loving it.

Finally, he arrived.

Seeing Santa TOTALLY made their night 🙂

Our lil town had a similar parade and night tonight. We got there just as the last fire truck and Santa on his sleigh were coming through so we missed it but walked around downtown to see the lights and Santa. Pics to come next week! 🙂

That looks like so much fun. When the holiday train comes through, we'll all have huge winter coats on and be freezing our butts off! =)

Hi Debi

I love our small town as well ~ although we don't have a parade I love that the whole community comes together for our Carols by candlelight night.

I hope you have a wonderful Christmas celebration with your precious family
