This is one of my ALL-TIME favorite recipes to make for Valentine’s Day (or really any day I am feeling like I need a ridiculously large amount of chocolatey goodness).
It’s a recipe from one of my favorite dessert chefs, Marcel Desaulniers, of the Death by Chocolate fame. (I LOVE this man and if I’m ever in Williamsburg, VA I will totally spend some time in his new chocolate cafe MAD about Chocolate .)
This is his famous recipe:
Death By Chocolate Chocolate Ganache
Place 22oz of chopped semi-sweet chocolate into a stainless steel bowl (I like using some bitter sweet as well).
Set aside.Over medium-high heat, bring 1 1/2 c. heavy cream and 3 TBS of butter to a boil. Remove from heat and pour boiling cream over chocolate. Allow to sit for 5 minutes. Stir. Serve over anything 🙂
Trust me, this is DELICIOUS and omg, to die for.
Pour it over cheesecake, set in the refrigerator, chill and LORD, you will thank me later 😉
Dip strawberries in it and…it’s a bit of heaven.
Or, just fill some crepes with cream cheese and fresh raspberries and drizzle a bit of this ganache for a perfect ending to your meal (like I’m doing for one of our Valentine’s desserts). YUM!
