Hey girl! Ahoy Matey!

by debi9kids on April 19, 2012

Will loves pirates.
Let me rephrase. As in, he is obsessed.
He has pirate everything, because, well, he loves pirates and it’s my mission to see him smile 🙂
So, he has pirate toys, clothes, DVDs, bath towels, pillows, blankets, costumes and pretty much anything we can get our hands on that will make Will happily shout: ARGH!And, apparently, it’s a common “thing” with autistic kids because not only do all of the kids in Will’s class absolutely LOVE seeing Will’s collection, but he has now apparently taught the entire class to speak pirate.
And, before you get worried that the teachers and parents are frustrated that a group of non-verbal kids are now speaking pirate…
no worries,
everyone gets a kick out of it 🙂
Just imagine it…
Instead of saying “good morning“,
the class says, “Ahoy mateys!
How cute is that!?

So, without further ado…
Ryan Gosling HAD to play pirate too!(and if I can just say, this might be the best photoshopping I have EVER done 🙂 )

Hahahahaha! OMG I just snorted my coffee. That poster is AWESOME!

Amanda @ Confessions April 20, 2012 at 3:00 am

That IS some good photoshopping. RG totally makes a good pirate, and the picture looks less like he's smelling crap that he just stepped in like the original.

debi9kids April 20, 2012 at 3:56 am

Lol. I thought his face seemed to have a perfect sneer for the pirate look 😉

molly April 20, 2012 at 3:20 am

He just got picked up for school and when the bus door opened , I was greeted by "argh" from one.little boy and "yo Ho Ho" by another. So funny (& cute!)

OMG – Permission to come aboard, Cap'n!

My boys are obsessed with pirates, too. So much so that when we got our "service" dog, we named her Matey. 🙂

debi9kids April 20, 2012 at 7:42 am

Lol. Now you're making me giggle. Too funny. Climb aboard matey 🙂

Jenny April 20, 2012 at 5:24 am

LOL! Awesome!

Christine@TheCupcake April 20, 2012 at 5:36 am

Cracked. Up. Laughing. Maybe deep down they are just meant to be pirates and modern society doesn't fill that needs so they project. Great explanation huh?

Flannery April 20, 2012 at 6:24 am

I have to say, I am super impressed with your photo shopping skills. I stared at the photo a good long time, looking for seams, and couldn't find one. It would take me HOURS to do something not even close to that good.

And wooden leg?? That was seriously funny.

debi9kids April 20, 2012 at 7:46 am

I impressed myself even. This blows my pull-up bag RG out of the water 😉

Lexi Sweatpants April 20, 2012 at 7:19 am

ahahahahaaaaa wooden leg.

Elle April 20, 2012 at 7:38 am

BWAHAHAHA omg. I love it! You can set up Facebook so everything is in Pirate instead of English. I think "like" is ARRRRRGGGH, I can't remember. 😛 And it's awesome that he taught his class pirate speak!

Patty April 20, 2012 at 9:52 am

margaret April 20, 2012 at 11:52 am

Jacob went through a HUGE pirate phase and looking at your super cute pictures, I kind of miss it.

Great Ryan posting. Only he can make an eye patch sexy.

Mama Meerkat April 20, 2012 at 3:33 pm

Hahahaha, that is great! Your photoshopping is really well done.

debi9kids April 20, 2012 at 3:57 pm

thanks. I actually used a program called Photo Impact Pro. SOOOO much easier to use that Photoshop.

nodrama4mama April 20, 2012 at 3:58 pm

That is awesome photoshopping. My sweet guy also went through a pirate phase, but it was the best party ever. I gave each kid an eyepatch and a headband and a foam sword and let them at it, then a treasure box cake

jo ashline April 20, 2012 at 5:12 pm

RRRRRR Matey! That's one wooden leg I bet isn't hollow……….

Wait. What was I saying again?
