…to have a child that wants to be so helpful.
That child, in our home, is Emma.
And, while I assume that as time passes and she gets older that desire to help will dwindle and she’ll eventually become a “typical” teenager, for now, I am totally savoring the fact that she happily offers to dust, put away the dishes, folds clothes, and even helps her daddy refill the water coolers.(on her way with daddy)
(her prize for helping)

She is adorable and I LOVE those stripey socks!!
You and me both! I SO wish I could still pull off a look like that at my age 😉
My child who is like that is Necco. Currently, she's showing some true teenager colors….but I know that beneath those teen layers is that same wonderful, helpful, serving little girl. 🙂
yea, those teenage years…whew. They can be ROUGH. (one of my daughters has been pushing EVERY button possible lately. ugh!)
What a sweetie she is. I know she'll go through typical teenage stuff, but I'll bet her heart stays the same!
Here's hoping Liz 🙂
reminds me of this poem my grandmother used to recite (she has 7 children):
I LOVE YOU, MOTHER
"I love you, mother," said little John.
Then, forgetting his work, his cap went on,
And he was off to the garden swing,
And left her the water and wood to bring.
"I love you, mother," said rosy Nell—
"I love you more than tongue can tell."
But she teased and pouted full half the day
Till her mother was glad when she went to play.
"I love you, mother," said little Fran;
"To-day I'll help you all I can;
How glad I am that school doesn't keep."
So she rocked the baby till it fell asleep.
Then slipping softly she took the broom
And swept the floor and dusted the room.
Busy and happy all the day was she,
Helpful and cheerful as a child should be.
"I love you, mother," again they said,
Three little children going to bed.
How do you think that mother guessed
Which of them really loved her best?

I've never heard that before. Cute.
Thanks for sharing 🙂
She has her mommy's eyes! I noticed it a LOT in that first picture! She is growing up so fast!
oh yes, she does look a lot like my side of the family.
Well worth the prize, right? So sweet! Love to see this. 🙂
Ah, cute girl! My Princess is also being all helpful at the moment.
She sounds and looks like an angel and I love how you edited these photos!
She is absolutely adorable! Can she pretty please give some pointers to Princess Nagger? PN is anti-helpful. 😉

I love it when they're so helpful like that. I have a 6 year old like that, she's awesome. Great pictures! Maybe when she becomes older and if she changes you can show her these.
Wow how cute is she? My little one choses her moments of helpfulness.
Yay, how wonderful to have a little helper! 🙂
Such a good little helper!
