So, I was in line at the grocery store and started browsing through the recipe books in the magazine rack and saw a picture of a snack bar that looked SO yummy and easy and I honestly was left wondering why I never thought of it myself.
I got out of line and went and got the ingredients (because I’m an impulse shopper like that) and today I made…
Peanut Butter Puff Bars
And, before I give you the simple directions, let me just pause to say…
Thank you, Jesus, for giving someone the wisdom to combine chocolate with peanut butter.
Amen.
Ahem, now then,
the recipe.
All you will need to do is melt 1/4 c. of butter in a sauce pan over medium heat.
Once butter is melted, add a 10 oz. bag of marshmallows, reducing heat to low until marshmallows are completely melted.
Remove melted marshmallows from heat and stir in 6-10 cups of Peanut Butter Puffs Cereal
Stir until thoroughly combined and until it’s the gooey texture you like.
Now that it has cooled off a bit, you can add 1-2 cups of Peanut Butter & Chocolate Pieces.
Finally, press the sticky, peanut buttery, chocolatey goodness into a 13×9 pan.
Allow to come to room temperature and then cut into 16 large bars (or 32 bite-size pieces).
Then, enjoy!

You had me at the cereal (our FAVORITE!!) and then add in Reese’s Pieces? Good Lord!!! I will NOT be making these or I will gain 10 lbs in one week. (PS. Shoprite brand makes peanut butter puff cereal with no corn syrup – it’s just the peanut butter though. I think they make chocolate separately though – we love it!)
