Sometimes, an absolutely perfect moment comes along, and as much as I would love to grab my camera and photograph it, it’s so much more important to just BE in the moment.
One of those absolutely perfect moments just happened.
We were all in the kitchen cleaning up the dinner dishes, 1960′s music playing in the background, and Will was in the livingroom watching TV.
Emma and I were dancing to Van Morrison and as the song ended, the Righteous Brother’s Unchained Medley came on. Emma let go of my hands and ran off to play and I started drying dishes.
Will ran into the kitchen, grabbed my hands, and indicated he wanted me to pick him up.
I did and he laid his head on my shoulder and started to sway to get me to dance.
And we danced.
In the kitchen.
To Unchained Medley.
And my heart burst.
The photo I have in my mind is priceless.
I wish you could see it.
that is wonderful. I always wished that there was someone hiding in the background to capture those candid moments.
Now that you’ve written it down you will always be able to remember it ….. I love reading back through my old blog posts for that vey reason. The things I would have completely forgotten are all there.
Oh Debi, this is priceless. Beautiful. A memory captured in words.
Debi, this article is soooooo beautiful.
