I am sitting here literally breaking out in hives from anger.
My cheeks are hot from anger and honestly, I have to vent because I am so upset.
I don’t think I will ever get the images out of my mind of Delta Force operatives Gary Gordon and Randy Shughart being stomped on and drug through the streets of Mogadishu after attempting one of the bravest and most honorable rescue attempts of Warrant Officer Michael Durant when his Black Hawk was shot down in October 1993.
They had gone in alone, knowing they had no back-up, no coverage, because they lived by the motto: No Man Left Behind.
They were true and honorable soldiers.
The images in my mind are as clear as the ones on the TV back then.
I was horrified and sickened and as I listened to a captured and badly beaten Durant on the news I remember wondering how in the world could something like this happen?
And now, I am sitting and wondering again, how have we come full circle where our men are being left with no coverage, no back-up, and while they still live by the motto No Man Left Behind, apparently our administration does not.
I have kept silent on here about politics because this election season has turned into one full of so much hatred and vitriol but I can no longer bite my tongue.
The death of American citizens is where I absolutely draw the line.
The breaking news of the day on Fox news has literally left me in tears.
I happened to be watching The Blaze this morning and Glenn Beck was interviewing the father of one of the fallen Navy Seals from the attacks on the US embassy in Benghazi when the story broke.
While it was heart-wrenching for me to hear that our administration did nothing when they could’ve saved the lives of the two Seals who risked their lives to save their fellow American citizens at the embassy, I can not even begin to imagine the pain that father was feeling.
His son was just doing his job, excelling at being a soldier and making sure to leave no man behind;
and it’s sickening to think that people were sitting at their desks, watching the attacks in real time, watching these Seals fight for their lives and the lives of their countrymen and they did nothing.
Nothing.
It is inexcusable.
Unforgivable.
A failure of the worst kind.
And yet, the administration continues to lie.
And cover up.
More worried about their careers than they were the lives of those four men…
This is not political.
This is about the lives of four Americans who did not have to die.
Every single American,
no,
every single decent human being should be sickened by this.
Politics should not matter.
This is simply about right and wrong,
humanity or inhumanity,
believing in No Man Left Behind or leaving your own men to die.
And the idea that no one in our administration seems to care,
but rather just hands out platitudes
is just sickening.
I’m sure that someone dropped the ball,
someone officially made the decision to let our men die.
There is no other option.
I just pray that the decision will finally be made to tell the truth,
all of it,
to give peace to the families,
closure to the American people,
and justice for the lives of those four men.
And may God have mercy on the souls of those who stood by and allowed this to happen.

This image should not be forgotten and it should never be trivialized.
You put into words what I have been feeling about this all day… I have been heartbroken about the story from the beginning, and angry about how it was handled, but that pales in comparison to the outrage of learning that people watched in real time and did nothing, and not only did nothing but they actively gave the order to stand down – three times – it’s unimaginable.
It’s just sickening.
I sat crying this morning when I heard.
THIS is not something MY country would do.
It’s just horrific.
It is just plain SICK and WRONG!!!
As the mother of 2 soldiers . . . it is absolutely HEARTBREAKING!
THANK YOU for sharing. This is NOT about Political Parties; this is about what is RIGHT and WRONG . . . it is about TRUTH and LIES.
Our country needs our heartfelt PRAYERS!

It’s so hard to know that these men weren’t protected when they were doing their job, serving their country, serving US! Makes me well up with sorrow for the loss, but pride with what these men did. We all definitely need to be in tune with what’s going on and put our vote out there!
You have summed up my heart exactly. I pray, then I worry. I believe that if this man is allowed to stay in office, our lives, as we have known them as Americans, is over. I truly hope that the polls are right, but I keep reminding myself that we are in God’s hands. I hope I am strong enough to live out my life under his oppression if he, indeed, is re-elected.
Thanks for speaking up. I believe we have seen real evil in action!!
What is most compelling about this story is that when the embassy was surrounded by terrorist killers, Two ex navy seals, vastly outnumbered, disobeyed orders and fought their way into the compound to save over thirty lives before being killed themselves.
They had sent a message that went all the way to the White House that they needed help and were under fire. This went right to The President of The United States.
Those seals were under fire asking for assistance from their commander in chief.
Because of the situation, the seals who died, were under president Obama’s direct command, not someone in the middle, his direct command.
The story has not been covered at all by the main stream media. This in itself is a disgrace, but also an effort to hide the truth about the man who is our president, and to promote their liberal beliefs and ideals.
He (Obama) deserted those seals in battle while they fought for their lives.
When was the last time in history that a president deserted the military when they were under fire in a battle situation?
His lack of action and derelict of duty set a low water mark in American history. He deserted his men, an offense that men have been shot for on the battle field. What words best describe this commander in chief we have.
I can’t help but wonder what our troops on the front line are thinking right now! Heaven help them, because we sure can’t depend on our president to have their back.
I know this means nothing to liberals who hate the military, but to me and others it means we have a cowardly person in the White House.
I would never vote for president Obama. Who could or would vote for a coward?
On Election Day I will enter that voting booth, I will remember the national treasures we lost when those brave souls were killed in a faraway land defending those who could not defend themselves.
I also know that the liberal cowards will stand with Obama but I will stand with, and for, those who would protect our country. “The price of freedom is eternal vigilance” I will sleep well that night.
