I am sitting here literally breaking out in hives from anger.
My cheeks are hot from anger and honestly, I have to vent because I am so upset.

I don’t think I will ever get the images out of my mind of Delta Force operatives Gary Gordon and Randy Shughart being stomped on and drug through the streets of Mogadishu after attempting one of the bravest and most honorable rescue attempts of Warrant Officer Michael Durant when his Black Hawk was shot down in October 1993.
They had gone in alone, knowing they had no back-up, no coverage, because they lived by the motto: No Man Left Behind.
They were true and honorable soldiers.

The images in my mind are as clear as the ones on the TV back then.
I was horrified and sickened and as I listened to a captured and badly beaten Durant on the news I remember wondering how in the world could something like this happen?

And now, I am sitting and wondering again, how have we come full circle where our men are being left with no coverage, no back-up, and while they still live by the motto No Man Left Behind, apparently our administration does not.

I have kept silent on here about politics because this election season has turned into one full of so much hatred and vitriol but I can no longer bite my tongue.
The death of American citizens is where I absolutely draw the line.

The breaking news of the day on Fox news has literally left me in tears.
I happened to be watching The Blaze this morning and Glenn Beck was interviewing the father of  one of the fallen Navy Seals from the attacks on the US embassy in Benghazi when the story broke.
While it was heart-wrenching for me to hear that our administration did nothing when they could’ve saved the lives of the two Seals who risked their lives to save their fellow American citizens at the embassy, I can not even begin to imagine the pain that father was feeling.
His son was just doing his job, excelling at being a soldier and making sure to leave no man behind;
and it’s sickening to think that people were sitting at their desks, watching the attacks in real time, watching these Seals fight for their lives and the lives of their countrymen and they did nothing.
Nothing.

It is inexcusable.
Unforgivable.
A failure of the worst kind.
And yet, the administration continues to lie.
And cover up.
More worried about their careers than they were the lives of those four men…

This is not political.
This is about the lives of four Americans who did not have to die.

Every single American,
no,
every single decent human being should be sickened by this.

Politics should not matter.

This is simply about right and wrong,
humanity or inhumanity,
believing in No Man Left Behind or leaving your own men to die.

And the idea that no one in our administration seems to care,
but rather just hands out platitudes
is just sickening.

I’m sure that someone dropped the ball,
someone officially made the decision to let our men die.
There is no other option.
I just pray that the decision will finally be made to tell the truth,
all of it,
to give peace to the families,
closure to the American people,
and justice for the lives of those four men.

And may God have mercy on the souls of those who stood by and allowed this to happen.

This image should not be forgotten and it should never be trivialized.
