The PERFECT Way To End a Summer Night… S’mores Frozen Coffee!

by debi9kids on July 2, 2013

PPdinnerpartyI have been a member of Philly Social Media Moms for quite a few years and unfortunately because of how far out-in-the-middle-of-nowhere-PA that I live, I have only met up with the fantastic ladies of the group one or two times.
So, when Cindy of Whatever Works decided to throw together the
Progressively Perfect Virtual Dinner Party
I was ALL OVER IT.

Progressive Dinner Parties sound like SO much fun and since I mostly feel like I have no life and spend 24/7 taking care of the kids, I kind-of figured this might be the closest I ever get to “living in an awesome neighborhood with awesome neighbors who cook awesome food and throw awesome parties.”

And since I was assigned a non-alcoholic drink for the end of the party (because Lord knows I am the last one to leave a party 😉  ) I decided to go with a coffee.

I came across this FABULOUS recipe from Will Cook for Smiles and just HAD to try it.
But, seeing how I am busy {read: sometimes lazy} I decided to change up a few things, which in turn makes the recipe that much easier.

S’mores Frozen Coffee
ingredients:
(makes 2 servings)
3 cups of your favorite unflavored brewed coffee, (cold)
5 large marshmallows
2 tbs hot fudge
1 packet of sweetener (or regular sugar)
Frozen coffee ice cubes (about a cup)
20130625_144356(You might notice by my above photo where I cheated.
Rather than freezing my own coffee, I came across these awesome, pre-frozen Seattle’s Best coffee cubes (at Wal-Mart, no less!) that were already sweetened and flavored so I killed two birds with one stone.)

Now, on to the recipe instructions….
(if you can’t find pre-frozen cubes like I did, you will want to freeze some coffee ahead of time)

Combine all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.coffee Collagefrozen smores coffee
Serve and Enjoy!

And on to toasting and enjoying the evening and the rest of the party…
