Last year Will’s first day of school was
not so good.
So, naturally this year I have been more than a little apprehensive about Will’s return to school.
The other kids started school a week ago, giving me one last week to remain calm and “stress free” and not think about the possible scenarios that could play out on Will’s first day this year.
I should be a glass half-full person but sadly sometimes I am completely and totally a glass half-empty person.
And turns out…
my glass was half-full.
Because Will was completely and totally happy to return to school and was in such a great mood this morning when he ran into his classroom that my soul was put completely at ease.
Thank you God!
As a matter of fact, the morning just started with him in a great mood and, aside from him unzipping and ripping apart the foam cushion from a chair in his room, he was a good boy and happily got dressed, ate breakfast, and went out the door excited to start his first day of school.
